Larry Gene Smith

Larry was born on December 6, 1932 and passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Larry was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana at the time of his passing. He attend Southwestern Louisiana Institute of Liberal and Technical Learning (SLI), now University of Louisiana at Lafayette, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a proud veteran, Larry served as an Airman Second Class in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was married to Sadie DesOrmeaux Smith. A Christian Burial Service will be celebrated Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Larry Gene Smith, 84, who passed away Thursday, February 02, 2017 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette. Visitation will be observed on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and resumes Monday, February 6, 2017 at 8:00 am until the time of services, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.
