Larry is survived by his loving wife, Joy Starling; children, Al Newsom and spouse Suzy Newsom, Kerri Doyle and spouse Jim Doyle; grandchildren, Danielle Vasseur, Jacob Doyle, Parker Newsom, Abby Newsom, Sophie Newsom; great grandchildren, Charlee Vasseur, Cameron Vasseur; and sister, Gail Starling.

A true outdoorsman, Larry could often be found with a fishing rod in one hand and a pair of binoculars in the other, ready to spot the rarest of birds or reel in the catch of the day. His love for the land was only matched by his love for people, and he cultivated friendships as skillfully as he did his crops.
