Larry Stubbs was born May 4, 1955 to Everett and Bonnie Stubbs. He passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was seventy years, five months and sixteen days of age.
Larry grew up in the Mansfield and Norwood, Missouri area before moving to Hartville, Missouri where he would graduate from high school.
Following graduation, Larry enlisted with the United States Army and faithfully served his country for twenty years. He was especially proud of training other soldiers on how to run the tracker, tanks, and other machines for the Army.
On August 16, 2000, Larry was united in marriage to Rita Marlene. They enjoyed almost fifteen years of marriage before she passed away on April 22, 2015.
Larry had recently started following the Mormon faith.
Larry is survived by his children, Rebecca Allsman and her husband Allan, Shawn Stubbs; his brother, Gary Stubbs; and his sister, Teresa Fletcher; five grandchildren, Kane James, Ayla Lynn James, Devin Paul Allsman, Teonna Stubbs and MaKayla Stubbs, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two great-grandchildren; and his two dogs, Wedo and Wedu.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rita; and his daughter, Teonna Stubbs.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors with his dogs. He liked to tinker with stuff and could be seen riding around on his bicycle pulling a wagon with his dogs.
We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know he will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
