Larry Allan Te Stroete was reunited with his wife Mary on May 12, 2025, at age 77, in Manitowoc.
Larry was born on November 26, 1947, in Sheboygan to Gloria (Beernink) and Dale Te Stroete. He went on to graduate from Cedar Grove High School in 1965, and served in the US Army Infantry from 1967 to 1969. Upon returning home, he worked at Red Arrow Products until he found his true calling as an instructor of Safety and Emergency Medicine for the WI Technical School System and Northern Illinois University. He was a member of Wisconsin EMS Association, Cedar Grove Fire & Rescue, Wisconsin Society of Emergency Service Instructors, American Legion Drews Blesser Post #88, National Association of Safety Professionals, and OSHA Outreach Trainers – Northern Illinois University.
Larry is survived by daughters Kristy Verhage, Sheboygan and Martha (Tim) Price, Neenah; three grandsons AJ, Brandon, and Logan Price; special "granddaughter" Araya; as well as other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary (Schrimpf) Schilder, and brother Jerry Te Stroete.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their compassion and support; Ann and Rich Auth for caring for Larry; and Eric, Kara, and Araya Schultz for always being there and being part of the family.
Visitation will be held at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Drews Blesser Post #88. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or your local fire department. Expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
