Larry G Thomas, born on July 12, 1945, in Panama City, Florida, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Wewahitchka, Florida. He is remembered as a skilled tradesman, and an avid outdoorsman.
Larry began his plumbing career at the tender age of 16 when he joined Ned Presswood Plumbing, where he worked diligently for 29 years. His commitment to his craft later led him to the Dunes of Panama, where he spent the last 27 years of his working life as a maintenance man, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community at large.
Outside of work, Larry embraced the great outdoors with passion. He cherished time spent fishing and hunting, activities that not only brought him joy but also created lasting memories with family and friends.
Larry leaves behind his beloved wife, Janice Thomas, along with his children: Margaret Corbin, Rebecca Curtis (Courtney), Larry Thomas (Kimberly), and Shawn Thomas (Heather). He also leaves his stepchildren, Gregory Hutchinson and Cheryl Hutchinson (Adam). Larry was a proud brother to Wayne Thomas (Suzanne), Betty Murphy (Jim), and Mark Thomas (Kelly), and a thoughtful brother-in-law to Margaret Thomas. His family tree flourished with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Juanita Thomas, and his brother, Kenneth Thomas. As we celebrate his life, we remember Larry not only for his professional achievements but also for his love for his family and the joy he found in nature.
A memorial service in honor of Larry G Thomas will be held at 5:30 PM on November 13, 2025, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. Family and friends are invited to gather and share cherished memories during this time of remembrance.
