Larry G. Tooley

Larry Tooley, 77, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 1st, 2022. Larry was born February 2, 1945, in Lebanon, MO to Hobart and Gertrude Tooley. As a teen, Larry's family moved to the Kansas City area. He graduated from North Kansas City High School and afterwards began his 30+ year career working for Ford Motor Company. He was strong servant of Christ and proud member of Antioch Bible Baptist Church, where he volunteered - teaching Sunday School and managing their bus fleet. His family, friends, faith, and church family were the most important things in his life. Larry was preceded in death by his two brothers, Gary Tooley and Richard Tooley. He is survived by his son, Mark Tooley; daughter, Cynthia Heddlesten; granddaughters, Saoirse "Miles" Tooley, Iona Tooley and Amelia Barton; grandsons, Zachary Heddlesten and Kraven Barton; brother, Ernest Tooley; and sister, Janice Burns. A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, October 7th at the Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108 Street, Kansas City, with visitation from 10am-11am, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11am and burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Bible Baptist Church. In honor of Larry's love of the Kansas City Chiefs, the family encourages everyone to wear their favorite Chiefs gear.
