Larry Don Vanpool, 77, of Tecumseh, Missouri, passed away on October 11, 2024, at the Baxter County Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1947, in Peach Orchard, Arkansas to Osmer and Edna Vanpool.
On December 29, 1967, Larry married the love of his life, Molly Jane Holder, in St. Louis, Missouri. He proudly served his country as a Vietnam War veteran and carried that honor and pride of his service throughout his life. His dedication and bravery during that time became a lasting source of strength for him.
Larry's life was centered around love, family, and integrity. He was a devoted husband and father, admired for his kindness and generosity. His passion for fishing and hunting brought him great joy over the years.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Herman, Jimmy, Randy and John Vanpool, three sisters Juanita Clayton, Dorothy Renfro, LaVada Hearring, Wanda and Gazelle Vanpool.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Molly, of the home, his daughter Lynn Matheney of Paragould, Arkansas, two sons, Don Vanpool of Orlando, Florida and Jesse (Sarah) Vanpool of Hallsville, Texas, nine grandchildren; Valerie, Brandy, Bridgett, Brent, Dolan, Harley, Isabelle, Jack, Riley and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Linda Lindsey of Imperial, Missouri and Roger (Pat) Vanpool of Warrenton, Missouri along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 on November 27th, 2024, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, Missouri. All who loved Larry are invited to gather and share memories.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville, MO.
