Larry L. VanSickle, age 81, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Akron City Hospital surrounded by his family, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Wes McElravy officiating. Burial will take place at Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County fairgrounds at Harvest Ridge P.O. Box 376 Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
Larry was born April 8, 1941 to Wilford and Dora VanSickle. He was a 1959 graduate of Killbuck High School. On May 30, 1959 he married Kay Carpenter and she survives.
Larry worked for Wagers Bros. Timber, Mikes Dozer Service, Ben Bell, Chuck Nicholson and he retired from Spurgeon Chevrolet. He enjoyed his family and farming.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years are three sons: Terry (Karen) VanSickle, Greg VanSickle, and Jeff (Lisa) VanSickle all of Millersburg; daughter, Beth Morris of Millersburg; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He is also survived by siblings: Floyd VanSickle of Millersburg, Cheryl Kays of Millersburg, Karen Stringfellow of Killbuck and Shirley Kettlewell of Denver, Colorado.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Gene and Jack VanSickle; two sisters: Marilyn Rock and infant, Carolyn; and son-in-law, Roger Morris.
