Larry Paul Vondrasek, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 65. Larry was born April 9, 1958, in Nebraska, to Paul and Irene Leach Bleach. Larry was later adopted by Frank Vondrasek when Frank and Irene married.
Mr. Vondrasek worked as a glazing engineer and was very proud of his contribution to the security of our great nation. His work led him to be part of the installation of bomb proof windows in buildings such as the Sears Tower, the Mayo Clinic, stadiums nationwide, Cullman Regional Medical Center, and various other buildings. Larry’s work helped save lives when the Pentagon was attacked. The areas where the bomb proof glass had been installed protected those within. Mr. Vondrasek was a hard-working man. He enjoyed fast cars and boats, rodeos, and loved living on the lake. Larry liked to hunt and fish and was an animal lover. His had a special bond with both his horses and dogs. One November 30, 1985, Larry married the love of his life, Ramona, and together they built a family that brought great joy to them both. Larry adored his family and their love for him is apparent. He will be missed greatly.
