Larry Melvin Watson, 88 of Bentonville, AR, passed away October 4, 2025, in Bentonville, He was born November 28, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Melvin and Dorothy Lois Green Franks, After the passing of his mother, he was raised by Harry and Katherine Watson. They formally adopted him prior to his marriage to Janis Messenger. Larry served in the United States Air Force and was a truck driver. He is preceded in death by his biological parents and his adoptive parents, and his uncle and Aunt, Sam and Helen Roach.
He is survived by his children Steve Watson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jana Harris of Rogers, his former wife Janis Watson Alianak, grandchildren David Watson, Eric Watson, Jack Harris and wife Becca, John Harris, and his great grandchild, Margot Harris.
Graveside service, with full military honors, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
