Larry Welch

Larry Welch, 78, of Murphy, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026.

Larry was born on August 12, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Fannie Adean Ott Welch and Ray Mayron Welch, Jr. He grew up in Texas and spent his life building strong roots through family, hard work, and lasting relationships.

On February 12, 1970, Larry married the love of his life, Cindy Gillen, in Dallas, Texas. Their marriage of more than five decades was built on love, devotion, and partnership.

He worked at Texas Instruments for over 43 years and was a loyal and respected employee who made many friends during his time there.

He coached baseball and football for many years and was a role model and mentor to a multitude of young men.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Welch of Murphy, Texas; his sons and daughter-in-law; his cherished grandchildren; and his sister, Brenda. He was a devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, and caring brother.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Fannie Adean Welch and Ray Mayron Welch, Jr.

Larry will be remembered for his strength, dedication to family, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who knew and loved him.

His family is honoring his wishes with a private burial.
