Visit the Legacy Remembers website to view the full obituary.
Larry Wesner Larry Joe Wesner, 87, of Salem, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Larry was born July 18, 1938, in Salem, Indiana to the late Claude and Geraldine (Reynolds) Wesner, respectively.

Larry started his working life as a farmer in Washington County. After high school, he worked for the State of Indiana on a road construction crew. There are many roads in Central and Southern Indiana that Larry helped construct.

Larry spent most of his life as the owner of two car wash businesses, one in Brownstown, Indiana, and the other in Seymour, Indiana. Additionally, Larry had a successful business building high pressure cleaning equipment and servicing that equipment for his customers many of whom were in business in Central and Southern Indiana. He operated his business until his retirement. Larry was well-known as a fair, hard-working businessman who often went out of his way to provide his customers with service even on weekends or holidays.

For most of his life, Larry was a member of Brownstown Christian Church. This is the church in which he raised his family and served as trustee while living in Brownstown. In later years, after moving back to Salem, Larry became a member of Mount Tabor Christian Church and served as a trustee.

Additionally, he was also a member of Masonic Lodge #328 in Medora, Indiana for over 50 years. He was also a long-time member of The Exchange Club while he lived in Brownstown and worked on many of their projects.

Larry married Marcia Bills (who survives) on June 10, 1967. They were married for 58 years. Larry was father to Tamela (Wesner) Quebe of Seminole, Florida; Stephanie (Cris) Kamperschroer of Saranac Lake, New York; Douglas Wesner (deceased); and Bradley (Kylene) Wesner of College Station, Texas. Larry was grandfather to 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson. Larry is survived by his brother, David Wesner, of Vallonia, Indiana. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Douglas.

A Celebration of Life and Masonic Funeral will be held at Weather's Funeral Home in Salem, Indiana, on August 30, 2025. Visitation will begin at 12 noon. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m followed by a graveside service and burial at Cave Town Cemetery near Campbellsburg, IN.
