Larry Wayne White Jr, age 51, of Pass Christian, MS passed away on March 1, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Hazel White and Edward Willis and Shirley Barber Willis; the dad that raised him, Donald Leslie; his partner in crime, Uncle Eddie Willis; and 2 uncles, Max White and Kenny White.
He is survived by his mother, Regina Willis Leslie Blackstock (Jeff); his father, Larry White, Sr; sisters, Jenny White Singley (Lee), Renee Leslie Daspit (Noah), and LeeAnn Leslie; half-brother, David White; nephews, Austin Smith, Wesley Smith, and Carson Leslie; and numerous favorite aunts, favorite uncles, and favorite cousins.
Larry always took care of his sisters and his momma. He loved them dearly. Larry took care of several neighbors by mowing their grass, taking their garbage cans to the road for pick up and then bringing them back to their place, getting their paper and mail and bringing it to their door, and he enjoyed talking with the neighbors. They watched out for Larry while his family was at work and school. Larry enjoyed tinkering on uncle Eddie‘s motorcycle and many race cars.
Larry also enjoyed spending time with his Uncle Johnny and Uncle Willie, working with them on their race cars as well. Larry enjoyed helping his brother in law, Noah Daspit, with his race cars. Larry would clean race cars, help with putting cars back together and run errands to prepare for weekly races. Larry was right by Noah's side. He loved mowing grass, playing basketball, riding his bike, spending time outside and cleaning anything he thought that needed to be cleaned. Larry was smarter than most people. We could not always understand his talking, but he would make sure to get his point across. Larry always had a smile for everyone.
We would like to thank family, friends and the many race car drivers and fans that were so nice and respectful to Larry and always took time with him, and all the Larry White Project fans, you definitely made a dream come true. Our hearts are sad for us, but we can’t be sad for him. He is whole and happy in heaven, no more handicapped body. He is pure and perfect now in Heaven continuing to share his smile.
