Larry Williams Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 24, 2025.
Larry Randall Williams, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away on December 21, 2025.

Larry was born to Emmett Otis and Helen Lavada "Welch" Williams and spent his early years growing up in the Haskell and surrounding areas. He graduated from Haskell High School. These places shaped many of the memories and connections he carried with him throughout his life.

Larry enjoyed the things that made life interesting to him. He loved football, playing basketball, and watching westerns. He loved his beloved dog, Doc who preceded him in death. He had a strong appreciation for Camaros and was a big fan of western movies, with Tombstone being his favorite. He also enjoyed trips to the casino and spending time with friends. Larry liked to give people a hard time and lived life a bit on the edge, often embracing things on his own terms.

Like many, Larry faced his share of struggles in life, but he continued to find meaning in companionship, laughter, and the things he enjoyed. He will be remembered for his personality, his loyalty to his friends, and the moments of connection he shared with those around him.

Larry lived life unapologetically and in his own way. As Frank Sinatra famously said, "He did it his way."

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Otis and Helen Lavada "Welch" Williams, and his siblings, Monte Dean Williams, Russell Lee Williams, Phyllis June Boese, Judy Kay Ramsey, Willetta "Billie" Elfers, Dolores Jean Dunn, Marjorie Sue Messick, and Donna Marlene Emery.

He is survived by his brothers, Stanley Joe Williams, Otis Emmett Williams Sr., Ronald Raymond Williams, Jerry Lynn Williams, and Justin Dale Williams; along with several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
