Ricky Lee Kidd

Ricky Lee Kidd (Rick), formerly of Claremore, died Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the home of his daughter in Hominy. Rick was born on September 30, 1957, at Stroud, OK to Elmer and Elnora (Dobbins) Kidd. He was raised and received his education in Pawhuska, graduating from Pawhuska high school. Following high school, Rick worked in the oil fields during the 70’s and early 1980’s, before begining to work as a tree trimmer, first with Asplundh and later with Davey’s tree companies.  He married Veronica Goad in 1982, and the couple had one child a daughter. They were later divorced, and Rick met and married the love of his life Vicki Sallee in the early 2000's. Rick and Vicki made their home in Claremore Oklahoma where they lived happily until her death in November of 2025. Rick was a hardworking stubborn and loving man that enjoyed spending time outdoors. Rick grew up fishing and coon hunting with his father Elmer. He loved art and enjoyed drawing and sketching. Rick was also known for his beautiful singing voice and was the lead singer in a rock band during his high school years. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Elnora Kidd of Pawhuska and a brother, Danny Kidd of Tulsa as well as his wife Vicki Sallee of Claremore ok. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Anne Garrison and her Husband Matthew Garrison of Hominy. A Granddaughter and the pride of his life Chloe Anne Garrison. A stepdaughter Amanda Simpson and three grandsons Quinton Roberts David Simpson and Jacob Simpson all of Claremore. A Nephew Darren Kidd of Owasso and a niece Angela as well as numerous cousins. There will be a private family celebration of Ricks life held at a later date. Powell Funeral Home of Hominy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
