Ricky Lee Kidd, formerly of Claremore, died Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the home of his daughter in Hominy. Ricky was born on September 30, 1957, at Stroud, OK to Elmer and Elnora (Dobbins) Kidd. He was raised and received his education in Pawhuska, graduating from Pawhuska high school. Following high school, Ricky worked in the oil fields during the 70’s and early 1980’s, before gaining employment as a tree trimmer, first with Asplundh and later with Davey’s Tree service. Ricky was first married to Veronica Goad for sixteen years, later marrying Victoria Sallee. Victoria passed away three weeks ago.
Ricky was a hardworking, loving and a stubborn man who loved fishing, sketching and drawing. He enjoyed singing and had once been the lead singer in a band in high school. He was a lover of music by Eric Clapton and Stevie Nicks; and enjoyed watching his favorite tv programs Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown.
Ricky is survived by his daughter Sarah Garrison and husband Matthew of Hominy, a stepdaughter Amanda Roberts of Claremore, OK; Nephew Darren Kidd and niece Angela; a granddaughter who was the pride of his life – Chloe Garrison and three step grandsons Quinton, David and Jacob Roberts. Besides his wives Veronica and Victoria, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Danny.
There will be a private family celebration of Ricky’s life held at a later date. Powell Funeral Home of Hominy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
