Ronald Edmond Whitcomb

Ronald Edmond Whitcomb, age 77 of Wynona, OK, passed from this life on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa. Ron was born September 17, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Gale and Dorothy Jean (England) Whitcomb. He was raised and received his education in California. Ron later enlisted in the US Army, spending time in Germany and was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve in July of 1973. He then found employment with ATT as a telephone repairman, later moving to Oklahoma. After retiring from ATT, he worked for Walmart in Cleveland for 15 years, where he met Beverly Bostick, and they were united in marriage on April 15, 2001, making their home in Wynona.

Ron enjoyed doing crafts, reading and playing video games on his computer. He also loved to talk about politics. He also enjoyed going to the casino and eating out at the Mongolian Grill. Ron had a good, sweet and kind personality. During their marriage, they never had a fight and saw eye to eye on most everything.

Ron is survived by his wife Beverly; three daughters - Julie Whitcomb, Melissa Brandt and Amber Dehancy; a son Cody Flud; three sisters Sherrie, Sheila and Terry as well as eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services for Ron will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, February 17th at the AJ Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy, OK with Dusty Giles officiating. Cremation arrangements and services have been entrusted to the Powell Funeral Home of Hominy. www.powellfuneralservice.com
