Sandra L. Whitcomb

Whitcomb, Sandra L. of Waterford, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by the love of her family and the promise of eternal life in Christ.

Sandra "Sandi" Whitcomb was born July 16, 1945, in Miami, Florida, to the late Charles and Kathleen Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, H. Michael Whitcomb; her brothers, Gordon B. Griffith and Robert Allen Ferguson; and her sister, Patricia Jane White.

Sandi, devoted and loving mother of Harold A. (Brenda) Whitcomb and Andrea J. (Sean) Kallsen; cherished grandmother of H. Mitchell (Karleigh), Erika, Nicole, Shelby, Halle, Jack, and Marissa; and great-grandmother of H. Cooper. She also lovingly cared for her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Sandi married Mike in June 1965, and together they raised their family in Waterford. She worked for T&C Credit Union in Pontiac until her children were born, after which she proudly began a 57-year "career change" as a domestic engineer.

Sandi adored her grandchildren and rarely missed an opportunity to watch them participate in school activities, often braving cold fall and spring days at the soccer field, band concerts, dance recitals, volleyball games, and time spent at the ice arena.

Sandi continued her husband's passion for gardening at their house and could even be found driving the zero-turn lawn mower as she faithfully cut her grass twice a week.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home,

5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 14, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Crescent Hills Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will follow the services.
