Virginia "Clorine" Kidd, 84, passed away, Monday, February 16, 2026 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN. She was born March 8, 1941 in Copper Hill, Virginia the daughter of John Edward and Eva Odell Stump Wilson. She was a 1960 graduate of William Penn High School in DE. She was a member of the high school Glee Club and choirs of various churches throughout her life. She was a retired co-owner and operator along with her husband of Kidd Appliance in Corydon, IN. She attended Georgetown Christian Church and later after moving to Corydon now attended First Capital Christian Church. She was a member of the New Salisbury Lions Club and was a member of a traveling group of seven couples that took many trips together. She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved gardening and canning. Clorine was a "Woman of Faith", was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and great grandmother always enjoying family Sunday dinners and dinners of all special occasions. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Ralph Wilson, Betty Lou Lupfer, William, Everett Lee and Marvin Wilson and stepdaughter Alice Brownmiller. She was survived by her husband Elmer Kidd, Jr.; 2 daughters, Jacqueline Mosier (Russell) of Corydon, IN and Donna Butler (John) of Lanesville, IN; stepdaughters, Carolyn Schmidt (Bob) of Maryland and Teri Kidd (Roger Young) of Elkton, DE and stepson, Billy Ray Kidd of Newark, DE; siblings Mary Ellen Hayden (Jack), Bonnie Travers (Richard) all of New Castle, DE, Sylvia Carr of Richmond, VA and Clifton Wilson also of Richmond Virginia; grandchildren, Justin Mosier (Katie) and Alisha Sonner (Brad) all of Corydon, IN, Rachel Townsend (Peter) of Cincinnati, OH, Ian Butler (Robyn) of Elizabeth, IN and Kimberly Neal of Elizabethtown, KY; great grandchildren, Masyn and Adalyn Sonner, Will, Karoline and Lincoln Mosier, Kyla and Kynlee Butler, Sydney and Lydia Townsend, Reaghan, Everett and Reid Neal and her best friend of over 70 years, Debbie Toms. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, February 23, 2026 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, IN. Visitation will be from 12 PM to 7 PM Sunday, February, 22, 2026 and again from 11 AM until the service at 1 PM also at the funeral home in Corydon, IN.
