Steven Stange Obituary
Steven Francis Stange, 73, passed away, Monday, February 9, 2026 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born September 11, 1952 in Peoria, IL the son of Francis and Verna Wabel Stange. He was a chemical operator at B.F. Goodrich in Louisville, later was ground maintenance at both Muhammed Ali International Airport, and O'Bannon Woods State Park. He along with his wife were owners and operators of the UPS Store in Corydon. Steve is also an Associate Minister for St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Corydon, IN. He also is an Army and Air Force veteran. Steve was a wonderful family man. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mary Scott Stange of Corydon, IN; sons, Nathan Stange of Marion, Ohio and Ben Hones (Jason) of Lakewood, Ohio; brother, David Stange (Jodi Frasure) of Raleigh, N.C.; nephews, Justin Stange of Tiskilwa, IL, Noah Stange of Charlotte, N.C. and Joshua Stange of Raleigh, N.C. There will be a visitation at 1 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 655 St. Peter's Lutheran Road SE, Corydon, IN 47112. Steve will be entombed in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery along with Military Rites at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Steves passing. I have wonderful memories of him being at our house with my brother, Steve Bomleny. He was like another brother. He was a lot of fun.

Had a lot of fond memories with Steve and his family in the late 70's early 80's, vacationing, camping, snowmobiling, and we worked together at B.F.Goodrich in Henry Il. Before he transferred to the Louisville Ky plant when we had a business slowdown at the Henry plant. His brother Dave and I were classmates throughout school in Bradford Il. My wife ( Mary) and I offer our sympathy at this time for the family.
