Larry Don Williamson

Larry Don Williamson, a beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle, passed away on August 2, 2025.

Larry Don married Kayla on February 2, 2022, at 2:22 PM in Stinnett, Texas.  Larry Don was Pug Dad to Tilly and Pugsly; stepfather to Kaitlyn Saenz of Plainview; Larry Don was the son of Don Williamson of Fritch and Carol Villnave of Borger. He shared a close-knit bond with his siblings, Greg Williamson and his wife Melissa of Amarillo, their children Ethan, Evan, and Emma; Ryan Thompson and his wife Danielle of Amarillo, along with their daughter Sierra; Kelli Hampton and her husband Andrew of Wheeler, along with their children Braxton, Preston, and Cooper Jack; Kandi Thompson-Jones of Elk City, Oklahoma, and her children Dakota and Harley; and Jennifer Noble and her husband Jaye of Borger, who all brought great joy to his life with their children Kyler and Bryson. Larry Don took great pride in being "Uncle Don", a title he cherished deeply. 

Larry Don’s interests included fishing, firefighting, and traveling, with a special love for the mountains and Nascar. He had an appreciation for history and a hobby of collecting rocks and many other items. A talented individual, Larry Don’s accomplishments included designing the emblem for both the Borger Refinery and the Fritch fire departments.

Preceding him in death are his grandmothers, grandfathers, and dear relatives including sister, Barbara Luann in 1972, uncle, Tommy Milbern, stepmother, Roberta Williamson, and stepfathers, Tom Villnave and John Tollison.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made in Larry Don's name to the Fritch Fire Department or the Jeff & Reba Richardson Scholarship at FUMC, 401 Binkley Avenue, Dumas, Texas, 79029.

Visitation will be held on August 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Fritch. A funeral service will follow the next day, August 9, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Grace Church, 401 Gardner St, Borger, Texas, 79007, concluding with burial at Dumas Cemetery, 1015 S Dumas Ave, Dumas, Texas, 79029 at 4:00 PM.
