Larry Wayne Woodall, 83, of Smithfield passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his home. He was born on November 15, 1941 to the late Johnny Alec Woodall and Etta Kemple Woodall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Stanley Woodall.

Larry was born in the Brogden Community in 1941, into the world of farming and carpentry. After spending a few years serving his country, stationed in Germany, he came back home where he met his soon to be wife of 56 years, Katie Stanley Woodall. During those 56 years of marriage, Larry spent most of his working career as a lineman with the Town of Smithfield. Larry was a family man who made time to coach both of his sons in baseball, taught them to appreciate the outdoors through fishing and hunting and the value of hard work. The most important lesson that he instilled in his family was the love of Christ. He spent his entire 83 years of life as a faithful member of Tee's Chapel FWB. After Larry retired, he shifted his interest back towards farming where he took great pride in gardening, raising enough vegetables for his entire family and extended family. When he wasn't spending time in the garden, he could be found somewhere near the banks of the Neuse River.

Larry is survived by sons, Chris Woodall and wife, Marcia of Smithfield and Brian Woodall and wife, Michelle of Smithfield; sister, Anita Deans and husband, Donald of Middlesex. Larry was the proud grandfather of 5 grandkids, Emma Lorren "Jake", Gabe, Conner, Caleb and Cayden Woodall.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Tee's Chapel FWB Church, 6439 Brogden Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Tee's Chapel FWB Church at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 with the Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating. The burial will be immediately after the service in Tee's Chapel FWB Church Cemetery.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.caseyfh.com.
