Lary McWright, was born June 17th, 1945, along with his twin brother Gary McWright to the late J.L. McWright and Olie Mae McWright.

Lary McWright joined the U.S. Navy in June of 1962, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War as a Sonar Technician.

After returning from active service in July of 1966, he married his beloved wife Dorothy McWright of 48 years.

He learned many trades and crafts throughout his life and worked in various construction trades and automotive trades. He worked as an Electronics Technician for Rockwell International on various major projects such as the Minute Man Missile rocket engines and the Columbia Space Shuttle program. Further into his life he found his calling to obtain his bachelor's degree in teaching. He taught Auto Body Repair at Estacado High School in Lubbock and then relocated to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch where he taught Auto Body Repair and Automotive Repair for many years until retirement.

Lary was a very big avid fisherman, enjoyed doing leather work as a hobby, and loved watching his old western shows on TV.

He very much adored his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are 2 sons Michael Mcwright and Scott Mcwright; one brother Gary McWright; three grandchildren Sydnee McWright, Shelbee McWright Shauger, and Patrick McWright; and one great grandchild Hudson William Shauger.
