Jerry Morris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sanders Funeral Home - Lubbock on Mar. 26, 2026.
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Dean Morris, who left this world on March 23, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born on September 9, 1945, in Bonham, Texas to Lee and Ruby Morris. Jerry lived a life of honor defined by his love for family, his strong faith, and his zest for the simple joys of life.

Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968. He worked as a truck driver for over fifty years traveling thousands of miles.

Jerry was known for his hard work, loyalty, faithfulness, love of fishing and gardening. Jerry was a believer in Jesus Christ, and his life reflected the values of kindness, compassion, and love. He had a loving heart, always going above and beyond to spoil his wife and loved ones.

Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Danna Morris, and daughters, Tammy Owen (Tommy), Brandi George, Jodie Teaff (Kelvin), and son Terry Morris (Michelle), 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and brother Charles Morris.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Edna Morris, and mother, Ruby Morris; and his three sisters.

The family will invite friends and loved ones to celebrate Jerry's life during a memorial service to be held at Sanders Memorial Chapel on March 30, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Jerry Dean Morris leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. In his journey through life, he taught us the value of family, the power of faith, and the simple joy found in moments spent together. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
