McElroy, Laticha Marie, age 50, of Dayton, Ohio, transitioned to eternal life on Monday, December 30, 2024.
Her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will forever be cherished by her father, Howard (Diane) Black, Donald L. Horton Jr.; her grandmother, Margaret Boone; her devoted husband, Ron McElroy; and four beautiful daughters, Tiarra Black, Laronna McElroy, Tionna McElroy, and Isabella McElroy; as well as three grandchildren, Danyla, Dayla, and Truee'; her brothers Angelo (Audrey Eichel) Black and Dion Black; and her sister Nadia Black; along with other loving family members.
Laticha was preceded in death by her mother, Francis O'Neal Jiles; her brother, Howard Black; her grandfather, Harry H. Boone; her uncles, Richard Breckenridge, Charles Breckenridge, and Charles Black; and her aunt, Dorothy Dukes.
Laticha (Tich) graduated from John H. Patterson Career Center in Dayton, Ohio, in 1992. White attending high school, her career focus was on business management. She continued her education at Miami Jacobs, graduating with a degree in Medical Assistant and Medical Administration. She worked for Kettering Medical Center for 15 years before moving to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
She was a shining example of a loving, nurturing, and prayerful woman. She loved spending time with her family, teaching her young ladies the importance of living for God, and making the best of any situation.
Laticha's impact on those who knew her will be forever felt, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who were blessed to know her.
Family and friends are welcome to gather from 10:30am to 11:30am on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30am.
