Born in Newark, New Jersey, Laura lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and dedication to others. After graduating from high school in Cassadaga, New York, she pursued a career in retail and later served as a nursing assistant, where her caring nature touched countless lives.
Known affectionately as Sandy, she was cherished in her community for her love, kindness, and generosity of spirit. Her presence brought comfort and joy to family, friends, and neighbors alike, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion.
Laura is survived by Danny Higgs (brother), Charlene Stewart (sister), Faith Granby (sister), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by Laura Echols-Reed (mother), April Higgs (sister), and Christine Higgs (niece).
Laura will forever be remembered for her gentle heart, her unwavering kindness, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
