She was born in Boston, February 20, 1958, a daughter of the late Bernice (Brookstein) Fruchtman and lived in Boston and Somerville before moving to Billerica in 1985.
Currently, Laura was employed as a Supervisor for the IRS having worked for them for over 30 years.
She is survived by her son, Isaac Fruchtman of Haverhill; her grandson, Joseph Fruchtman of Billerica, her daughter Heather Fish and granddaughter Secret Fish and also her brother.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 7 at the Independent Pride of Boston Cemetery, B Street off of Washington St., Woburn at 12:30 p.m.

Isaac, you popped in my head today and I came across this. I´m so sorry. I wish I had seen this sooner as I would´ve come to the service. I remember you and your mom.. and how you loved her so much. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Laura's passing. She was a kind and fair woman. I worked with her when I worked evening shift, and would stop by to say hello from time to time when I switched to days. She always had a smile for me and she never failed to buy a few boxes of Girl Scout cookies from my daughter! She would actually make a point of asking when I saw her! She was definitely a light in this world! she will be very missed. May the love of God be with you, and comfort you always.

Laura was my longest manager at the IRS. I tried my best to keep in contact with her after I left the department. She will be missed.
