Laura Ann Garcia

January 19, 1958 – March 11, 2026

Laura Ann Garcia passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Roswell, New Mexico. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Family and friends are invited to share a kind thought or memory with Laura's family at www.andersonbethany.com.

Laura was born on January 19, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Alicia Jimenez and Mike Garcia. She was raised in Laredo Texas by her mother and stepfather, Gilbert Ibarra. Laura graduated from United high school, where she enjoyed being a cheerleader.

Laura was married to Eddie Garcia, and together they raised a loving family who remained the center of her world. To many, Laura was more than a mother- she was a Mom to all. She loved having a house full of kids, and her home was always open to anyone who needed a place to belong or a home-cooked meal. No one ever left her house hungry, and everyone left feeling loved.

After her children were grown, Laura worked for Chick-fil-A for more than ten years, where she formed many close friendships her coworkers became like family, and those relationships meant a great deal to her. Michael Hancock meant a great deal to Laura and her family will forever be grateful to him for looking after her as he would his own mother.

Laura had a vibrant personality and enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved shopping, getting her hair and nails done, and relaxing with her favorite Lifetime movies. She was known for being opinionated in the best way – never afraid to speak her mind – while also being incredibly loving, caring, and fiercely loyal to those she held dear.

Laura leaves behind her mother, Alicia Ibarra; ex-husband, Eddie Garcia; children: Edward Garcia and his wife Victoria, John Michael Garcia and his wife Molly, and Jennifer Garcia and her wife Rebecca Stogden; and cherished grandchildren: Grant Garcia, Julia Garcia, Lucas Garcia, Emersyn Garcia, and Samantha Stogden-Garcia.

There will be no formal services at this time. The family will gather at a later date, where stories, laughter, and memories can be shared in her honor.

Laura's love, generosity, and unmistakable spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those she welcomed as her own.
