Laura Meghan Mahady passed away on August 26, 2023. Laura was born on October 11, 1985 in Minneapolis, MN to parents David and Diane (Clark) Mahady. The majority of her life was spent in the Brainerd Lakes area and she is a graduate of Brainerd High School. Laura had the biggest heart and was always helping those in need. She will be missed deeply by all.
Laura worked in the service industry for more than a decade and formed many meaningful relationships during those years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her son, Oliver. The two of them were always active outside, with some of their favorite activities being biking, going to the waterpark, and sledding. Laura also enjoyed crafting and had recently started to refurbish furniture.
Laura is survived and immeasurably loved by her son, Oliver; her mother Diane Mahady (Mark Levig) of Nisswa; her father David Mahady (Carol Gracik) of Onamia. Grandmother, Marilyn Mahady. Siblings, Maria Mahady, Hanna Olsen (Christian Olsen); and Charlie Mahady (Becca Mahady). Nieces and nephews, Sebastian Villanueva, Clara Mahady, Molly Mahady, and Louis Mahady. Also, many other family members and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Donald and Joan Clark and grandfather, Walter Mahady.
A celebration of life will be held on September 9, 2023 starting at 1pm at Brenny Funeral Home in Baxter, MN. Starting at 2pm, there will be time for sharing memories. Laura’s favorite color was brown, so please wear brown in her honor if you are able.
There has been a Go Fund Me set up in Laura’s honor. All proceeds will be donated to her son, Oliver.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
