Laura Irene (Luebbe) Schultz was born on June 1, 1935, to Fred and Emma (Hinrichs) Luebbe near Milford, NE. She breathed her last on September 12, 2025, at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE. Laura graduated from Milford High School in 1952, and then began doing secretarial work at the Nebraska Trade School at Milford, NE. While working at the school she became acquainted with a promising, young auto mechanic student, Robert Schultz, and before the year was over the two became an inseparable pair when they wed, forming a union that would last almost 61 years until Robert's death in 2017. After all her children reached school-age she once again joined the job force working in secretarial positions first for Milford Public Schools, then for Sargent District Hospital, and Broken Bow Medical Clinic until finally retiring at age 75. However, the job she prized the most was that of mother and later the honored title of grandmother and great-grandmother. Laura enjoyed puttering at home spending her time baking, gardening, and handcrafts with sewing being a particular favorite. She created dozens of pieces of doll clothing and gave them away to granddaughters, great-granddaughters, and any other assorted girls whose dolls needed a new ensemble. In her final years she took great delight in studying God's Word more in-depth and participating in Bible Studies. She always marveled at all the hidden treasures of truth she found.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert; parents, Fred and Emma Luebbe; parents-in-law, Henry and Leona Schultz; brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Kay Luebbe; sister and brother-in-law Lucille and Wilbur Thole; brother and sister-in-law Garnet and Alice Thompson; brother-in-law Edward Conner; sister-in-law Charlene Schultz.

Laura is survived by her children: Duane (Penny) Schultz, Marshall, TX; Teresa (Don) Fellows, Sargent, NE; and Karen (Kevin) Mauck, Kenesaw, NE; grandchildren: Brandon Littleton, Timothy Schultz, Kristina (Dominick) Fuentes, Joseph (Sofia) Schultz, Brenton (Ashley) Fellows, Andrew (Sara) Fellows, Ryan (Lexi) Fellows, Aarin (Danielle) Fellows, Kylie (Nathan) Steiner, Ashley (Nate) Gerry, and Avery Mauck; and 31 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Laura is also survived by sister-in-law Lois Conner, brother-in-law Marion Schultz and a host of nieces and nephews.
