Funeral services for Laura Denise Lowe Settle, 57, will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Eddie Briery with Valarie Kirkwood, assisting.
Laura was born September 7, 1968 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Jerry Lynn Lowe and Margaret Virginia Alexander Lowe and passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 in Shreveport.
Laura is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Alexander Lowe; brother-in-law, Jackie Kirkwood; great-nephew, Christopher Shadburn; father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Jo Settle; and sister-in-law, Lori Settle Austin. Left to cherish Laura's memory is her husband, Eddy Settle; father, Jerry Lowe; sisters, Cheryl and Mike Harvey, Valarie Kirkwood, Virginia and Junior Adkison; and brother-in-law, David Austin; nieces and nephews, Miranda Shadburn and husband, Chris, Krista Stutts and husband, Clint, Jeff Kirkwood and wife, Shanna, Justin Kirkwood and wife, Joy, Johnathan Harvey and wife, Kristine, Andy Winham and wife, Amberly, Jerred Harvey, Dakota Adkison, Mason Adkison, Malynn Adkison; great-nieces and nephews, Gabriel, Abigail, Michael and Samuel Kirkwood, Logan, Hunter, Caleb, Aubrey, and Molly June Kirkwood, Axxel and Stella Harvey.
Laura dedicated over 26 years of her life as an Operating Room Technician at Willis Knighton Pierremont, where her skill, compassion, and professionalism touched countless lives. Beyond her career, Laura was a remarkable body builder and an avid motorcycle enthusiast for more than 20 years. Her passion for life was matched only by her generosity, as she gave selflessly to her community.
She proudly supported organizations such as the Shriners, Toys for Tots, and the Marine Program, and she sponsored families at Christmas, ensuring joy and comfort during the holiday season. Laura’s giving heart and spirit left a mark on everyone who knew her.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Laura’s co-workers in the Operating Room at Willis Knighton Pierremont and the Prayer Group at City Church. Your love, compassion, and kindness meant the world to her and continue to bring comfort during this time of loss.
Laura will be remembered as a strong, caring, and extraordinary woman whose legacy of service and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Prayer Group at City Church, 230 Flournoy Lucas Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71106 in Laura's name.
