Lauren Gilbert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home - Trappe on Mar. 13, 2026.
Obituary of Lauren Alexis Gilbert

Lauren Alexis Gilbert, age 42, of Collegeville, PA passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, March 13, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Voorhees, NJ on April 27, 1983, the daughter of Laraine (Brewin) Sindoni and the late George W. Stott Jr.

Lauren was a longtime resident of Marlton, NJ before moving to Collegeville in December 2018. She was a former parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church of Marlton and a current parishioner of St. Eleanor's Catholic Church of Collegeville. She was a talented musician and sang at St. Joan of Arc, and later in her band "Ginger on the Roxx."

Lauren earned her Bachelor's Degree from Salisbury University before earning her Master's Degree from Wilmington University. Her first career was teaching middle school math for Cecil County Public Schools and later at the Brandywine School District, where she served as the District Math Coordinator. She also served as a National Education Consultant for Big Ideas Learning. Lauren then transitioned to the corporate world and worked as the Vice President of Operations for 100+ and Connect America.

Lauren was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of Colon Cancer in April 2025. Lauren shared her cancer journey publicly in hopes of helping others in early detection.

Lauren was a talented author. She loved her children deeply, dedicating Ella and Her NeuroSparkly Brain to her daughter Ella, and Lumi the Lion and the Jungleball Giants to her son Austin. Most recently, she authored Be Still Time, a book about explaining cancer to children.

Lauren's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially taking trips to Disney World with her children. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel M. Gilbert of Collegeville; two children, Ella Gilbert and Austin Gilbert of Collegeville; mother, Laraine (Tony) Sindoni of Marlton, NJ; brother, AJ (Kaitlin) Sindoni of Philadelphia; two sisters, Emily Sindoni of Jersey City, NJ and Kayla Stott of Berlin, NJ; grandparents, Anthony (Patricia) Sindoni of Berlin, NJ; and father in-law and mother in-law, Michael and Josephine Gilbert of Limerick, PA. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM in St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA 19426.

Lauren's family will receive relatives and friends in St. Eleanor's Church on Wednesday evening, March 18 evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday morning, March 19 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to Mass.

Interment will take place in Schwenksville Cemetery.

Lauren was a great person, mother, musical talent and author who will be missed deeply. One fond memory I have was a cd she recorded some of her songs on that she gave me our senior year as a gift as we went off to college. That´s the caring person she was and the world needs more of. I will cherish those memories we had in High School and in our 20´s. Condolences to her loving family, she will always be in your hearts and watching over you from above.
