Lauren Silverstein

Lauren Sue Silverstein, 63 of Midland, died Thursday afternoon, March 26, 2026. She was born June 7, 1962, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late William Arnold and Mary Ann (Szarenski) Cramton. Lauren grew up in St. Charles and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1960. After graduation, she spent her life caring for the elderly, first as a nurse's aide, and then as a Social Worker. On December 23, 1992, she married William L. Silverstein in Midland, and he survives her.

Lauren was very family-oriented. She devoted her life to caring for her family as well as those around her. A member of Midland Church of the Nazarene, she enjoyed reading, watching crime shows, sewing, and doing crafts. She loved frogs and spending time with her husband, gardening, camping, and being outdoors.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Kourtney (Chris) Dice of Midland and Elizabeth (Joseph) Stanley of Holland; sons, Frank (Shana) Silverstein of Bay City and Ian Silverstein of Midland. Lauren's grandchildren are Lilli, Lia, Jakob, Henry, Samson, Griffin, Leif, Gabriel, Locke, Gideon, Ophelia, Abraham, Oliver, and Adelaide.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Rick Cramton, Karen Armon, and Kurt Cramton.

Memorial services for Lauren will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Midland Church of the Nazarene, 5700 Jefferson Avenue, with Pastor Justin Hayes officiating. Lauren's family will receive friends at the church on Thursday at 10 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
