Laurence G. Ehrhardt, 98, of Moline, IL, passed away February 14, 2026, at Allure of the Quad Cities.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family burial of cremains will be at Moline Memorial Park at a later date. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline are assisting the family with arrangements.

Larry was born on February 1, 1928, in Moline, to Harry G. and Laura E. (Natt) Ehrhardt. He graduated from Moline High School in 1946. In 1971, he married Karen J. Buccola, formerly of Dixon, IL, and they had two children. Larry’s primary jobs were with Desaulniers and Company, where he worked 13 years, and 26 years with Deere and company, where he worked 18 years at the Distribution Service Center, and 8 years at the Administration Center, assigned to maintenance and receiving; he retired from Deere’s in 1991.

Larry had a lifelong interest in drawing, but during the 1960’s, he became a prolific painter of oil landscapes. While a member of Left Bank Art League, he regularly displayed his works at the shows. In the late 60’s, he operated part-time, an art and picture framing studio on 23rd Avenue in Moline. Larry was a also former member of the First Free Evangelical Church.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; daughter, Ellen (Sean) Latchem of Moline, IL; and son, Vaughn (Jeneen) Ehrhardt of South Elgin, IL.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Richard Ehrhardt.
