Laurette M. Pow

Laurette M. (Schrepfer) Pow, 101, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 at Riverwoods Assisted Living. Her tremendous energy and joyful spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was born on December 16, 1924 in Manchester, NH to Fred and Aldea (Denoncourt) Schrepfer.

She graduated from Central High School in 1942. For many years she was on her high school class reunion committee. Before she married she worked at Anchor Electric Co. She was a stay at home mom who enjoyed taking care of her family.

In 1945 Laurette married Henry Stepanek, who after 9 years of marriage, died suddenly in a car accident. In 1958, she married Walter S. Pow. Together they enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing, wintering in Largo, FL and spending time with their families.

She is survived by her son, Fred H. Stepanek and wife Barbara of Dover, NH; son-in-law Stephen DeQuoy of Belmont, MI; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by Henry Stepanek, her husband of 9 years,Walter S. Pow, her husband of 52 years; their daughter Lori Ann Pow DeQuoy, who passed away in 2007 from cancer; Her sisters Gloria Schmidtchen and Doris Brady.
