Scott Forbes Richards, 66, of Auburn, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family and close friends.
Scott was born on February 17, 1960, at Mildenhall Air Force Base in England, to Norman and Vivian Richards. He grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire, and graduated from Manchester West High School in 1978. After exploring a variety of jobs early on, Scott found his calling and entrepreneurial spirit in 1987 when he founded Spectrum Floors, Inc., a business he built with pride and dedication.
In 1981, Scott married the love of his life, Deborah Cusson. Together they created a life centered on family and raised two children, Jason and Sarah, who were his greatest source of pride.
Scott found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved attending car shows, spending time on the golf course, and working through crossword puzzles. He was happiest when outdoors—whether operating his tractors, riding motorcycles, playing with his beloved dogs, or relaxing at Hampton Beach. A man of faith, Scott was a member of Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church.
Scott will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Deborah; his son, Jason Richards and his wife, Frannie; his daughter, Sarah St. Pierre and her husband, Jonathan; and his cherished grandchildren, Owen St. Pierre, and Madison and Aubrey Richards. He is also survived by his siblings, as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
In keeping with Scott’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. His family will gather at a later date to celebrate his life and the many memories he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott’s memory to Shriners International or Shriners Hospital Children’s.
Scott will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warmth, generosity, humor, and kind heart touched many lives, and his memory will be cherished always.
