Laurie was beautiful, humble, intelligent and had a very warm heart. The world is a worse place without her and heaven is a better place with her.

Laurie was the sweetest person that I have ever met. Her smile, her warm hugs, and beautiful face will forever be in my heart. She was my Soror, my Sands, my sister for life.

I only knew Laurie from a distance. Her mother and I were classmates in New Orleans. Carole and I remained friends over the years, and from her mother 's reports, Laurie was a fantastic daughter. May she rest in peace. May the Lord comfort Carole and Dudley and brother Brian.

Laurie was one of those rare people whose kindness and generosity were not only genuine, but who also made others want to better because of who she was. She was a dear friend who captured the heart of everyone she met. You could not help but love her. She made the UCLA campus a more beautiful place and my time there very special. My condolences to her family. You are in my prayers.

Laurie was more than just an amazing professor, she was simply a wonderful person. She had a smile on her face everyday, even when she was dealing with the punches life was throwing at her. She was real, professional, authentic, and loving. She will be missed and her legacy will be told forever. We love you Laurie. Rest in perfection.

Laurie, the world is a little darker without you. Such a giving and warm soul. You’ve touched countless lives with the way you shared with your students. I will forever strive to find someone who I can love and talk about the way you did with Thomas.

I am grateful and extremely lucky to have met Laurie as a student at CSU Fullerton. She has never failed to put a smile on others around her.

Thank you for touching the lives of many students and future educators. May you rest in heavenly peace.

Laurie was a lovely young woman, one of my favorites in our daughter Linda’s group of friends at IHHS. I was truly saddened to hear of her passing.
