I am so sad to hear that my good friend Bill passed. Our lasting friendship
began in elementary school. We called him Billy Hill. Then came Bill Dixon. Bill and I spent high school together in the same class, played
football together, both played end. Much of our bonding took place during this time in school and in our leisure activities. Bill was a great hockey player and Colorado College was his next stop and I headed west. However, we did not lose communication. Even though our lives went in different directions, we kept in contact. We were so glad to hear that his life was brightened by Margie and then Megan, Lisa and Beth. He was so proud of all his girls and talked about them each chance we had to talk or
write. I finally caught up to Bill and Margie in Houston on a visit with our daughter in Katy and received the full Texan hospitality. Had the opportunity to go fishing by canoe north of Thunder Bay. First time not much success. I told Bill, "we need a bigger boat"the next trip. The bigger boat resulted with Bill catching a large walleye, the biggest of our crew.
We will miss Bill at our yearly high school reunions. But we still have the memories of good times past. We will never forget you Bill.

So sorry to hear of Bill Dixon's passing.
I was in the same class and high school that Bill attended. Peggy Rantala Michels. Bill and Marge came to Thunder Bay for class reunions and also to visit his brother Waino Hill from Kakabeka Falls. We have missed Marge and Bill these last few years and send our condolences to the family. I'm curious as to how Bill passed was he ill? The memories that you have of your father are special. my address is
