The laughs we had with Laurie and Alex, her mini schnauzer, on King Street in Columbia, oh so many years ago, continues to be a vivid and frequently talked about loving time in our lives. She was just simply special. Love u Laurie

Myron and Family
I was on vacation out of the country when news of Laurie's passing was received by the Weierbach's. I wanted to let you know how special she was to all of us and how she was as equally beautiful inside as well as out. Many wonderful memories of our time together here at the office and I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. The world is a little darker without this special person in our lives.

Dear family of Laurie,
I had the pleasure of being one of Laurie's instructors when she was a student at C.P.C.C. I just want you to know that she was a pleasure to have as a student and was always so pleasant and respectful. I have fond memories of attending the class graduation party at her parent's house on the Lake. She was a beautiful person in every way and may it help just a little to know that so many loved and cared for her.
Most sincerely,
Glenda McAlexander (or Ms. Mac, as the students called me)

To all Laurie's dear family,
We have all been truly blessed to have Laurie in our lives. She lit up our lives with her smile, beauty, charm, compassion, tenderness and love. Her inner beauty shone through and made her sparkle!! In all things, we can find good --- if I had never had breast cancer in 2008, I wouldn't have joined the Cancer Support Group and met Laurie!! May God bless each of you, her family, with His comfort, strength, peace and love and bring you healing as only He can. With my deepest sympathy and love, Kay Brown, Mooresville,NC

I am so saddened to hear about Laurie's passing. She and I were like brother and sister as we became part of the Crouch Family. We spent so many wonderful days together at the Lake, working at John Mack & Son, and she was my prom date in 1976. I have spent the day smiling at so many memories of a wonderful loving and laughing friend. God Bless everyone who had the previledge of knowing her. George (Gman) McCarter

B.K. and Laura: I long remember the good times we had with Laura and Steve growing up on the lake, and spending time with all of you. I am so sorry for your loss, Laura was such a beautiful lady, and she fought a hard battle. In the end, she is now at peace. I would not be surprised if Dr. Bill would be trying to feed her some BBQ, and I am sure they are all having a good time now. See you tomorrow. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Laurie is with the Angels and her God. She is now free of pain. My prayers go out to Laura and B.K. and the Barringer Family. Also, may God be with her husband and all the children and the Werner family. I know we shall always remember her beautiful smile. I never met her but I know she was a very special person. May God be with both families and I pray God will keep you strong during this sad time. Love to all, Sue Hardee. (a classmate of Laura and B.K. Barringer)
