Laurits B. Noonan

Laurits B Noonan age 68 passed away after complications of several strokes at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, David Noonan Jr and Karen (Bogh) Noonan; and his brother, Patrick Noonan; and sister, Colleen Scalzo. He is survived by his brother, David Noonan and wife, Laura of Pine City; and his brother, Kevin Noonan and Eileen of Elmira; and his niece and caregiver, Rachel Noonan and many more nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Giants. He liked to goof around with those he was close to and liked to show his terms of endearment with a poked-out tongue or funny gesture. He collected trains during his life and was always seen around Elmira riding and collecting his bikes. He was a very loving Uncle and always spoke his mind. He worked at Elmira stamping for 17 years. He was a jack of all trades but could always be seen working hard alongside his friends and brother as a metal scrapper as well. He was a strong man with a strong constitution and fought hard to stay here with us but in the end he went home as those did before him. He will always be missed but never forgotten. The family would like to thank his caregiver, Anita Lamb for the loving care ,comfort and companionship she gave him, the Robert Packer Hospital for giving him great care and the chance to be with him to say goodbye, Arnot-Ogden Medical Center for the care he received in their ICU with their wonderful team and at Elderwood Nursing home where he lived for the last year of his life and the staff that took care of him we can't thank you all enough for all you did. A private graveside service will be conducted at the convenience of the family through the wonderful staff at Woodlawn Cemetery. Services were provided by Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens.
