Lavelle Hilliard

Lavelle Hilliard, also known as (John Henry) (Grandpa) (Paw Paw Velle) and (Sunny Boy) was born on November 24, 1948 in Wisner, La to parents Eddie Hilliard and Della Auguston Hilliard.

Lavelle was proceeded in death by his parents Eddie and Della Hilliard and his brother Bill Auguston.

Lavelle resided in New Orleans, Louisiana for over 50years. During his lifetime in New Orleans, he worked as a maintenance engineer for a local hotel where he retired after 30 years of service in the hospitality industry. He enjoyed his retirement and picked up a hobby of fishing. He loved to cook, play dominos, learned how to use an IPAD, download his old school music and go fishing with his brother Eddie Dean. He also would tell stories of his life and people he met along the way.

He leaves his cherished memories to his partner for over 40 years (Bennie Marshall) daughter Shantel (James Hill) son Eddie Hilliard, brother Eddie Dean (Sharon) late brother Bill, sisters Jean and Lilly Mae, nephew Lil Charlie, granddaughter Jessica, grandson Lil James, bonus daughter Denisha bonus granddaughter Antanae, bonus grandson Theodore.

He also leaves lasting memories to a host of grandchildren, bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family and friends.

Lavelle will be laid to rest in his hometown of Wisner, La.
