Faith & Family Funeral Services IncLaverne Bondor passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Liberty, Texas. Born on December 3, 1935, Laverne was known for her independence, resilience, and the way she cared deeply for others, even if she didn’t always say it out loud.
Laverne wasn’t one to speak her love through words, but she showed it in the way she lived. She opened her home and welcomed those who needed it most, always providing shelter and care to family and friends. Her love was steady and was expressed through commitment, hard work, and a sense of responsibility for the people she loved. She was a dedicated provider to her family and those in need.
Creative and hands-on, she found joy in owning her own business, Laverne’s Ceramic Shop, where she expressed her creative passion and provided for her family. She also expressed her creativity through sewing beautiful clothing and quilting and found joy in caring for and loving her pets. Her home was always full of projects and the energy that her feisty, unforgettable personality brought to everyone around her.
She was a true fan of Westerns, and all things John Wayne and life always got a little better when there was Chinese food or fried shrimp on the table.
We will miss her deeply. Life just won’t be the same without her, but her strength, humor, and the countless memories she left behind will keep her spirit alive in all of us.
Laverne is survived by her son, Lloyd Arnold; her brother, Jerry Kachel, and his wife, Heather; and her grandchildren, Lee Ann Rhoden, Lloyd Arnold II, and Amber Arnold. Her Great-grandchildren are Ryland, Gage, and Akasha. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Albert Kachel and Corine Palmer; her children, Robert Arnold and Marsha Rhoden; and her siblings, Cecil Kachel, Clifford Kachel, and Wanda Cox.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a graveside service on October 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moss Hill Cemetery on North Highway 146 in Liberty, Texas. Together, we’ll celebrate a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and a love that was felt, even when unspoken.
