Beste Funeral Home - MosineeLaverne L. Clark, 84, of Mosinee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18,2025 with her family by her side.
She was born on May 13, 1941, in Medford, WI. Daughter of the late Alois (Al) and Lillian (Malecki) Ogurek.
Laverne married her best friend and soul mate, James (Jim) Clark of Mosinee on May 21, 1992. Jim was her rock. When Laverne was diagnosed with cancer, he was her strength she leaned on. He took such loving care of her.
Laverne loved music of all kinds but especially loved southern gospel music. She said it lifted and filled her with thoughts of the goodness of God. Going for walks with her husband by her side was something she enjoyed so much. She also loved making and preparing holiday meals with Jim for the family. What made her happy was gathering and having fun with family and friends. Christmas time was her favorite time of the year and decorating to make things festive. She loved her family dearly and loved seeing them happy.
Laverne had a very strong love for the Lord and loved to share her faith with others. In 1975 in Eau Claire, WI she was baptized in Jesus’s name, and that is where her life changed and a desire to know more about the Word of God. She believed strongly in the power of prayer. There was not a night that would pass, she would be on her knees with Jim beside her, praying for family, country, and our president.
