Ronald D. Nelson, 80, Mosinee, died on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Ron was born on October 4, 1945, son of the late, Orie and Violet (Evenson) Nelson. He married Vicki Williams on March 7, 1970, she survives.
Ron truly was a special man who lived a life full of love and laughter. He deeply loved his wife, his sons, and his grandchildren, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, like watching birds at the feeder, relaxing with a good baseball or football game, and heading out to fish on a quiet day. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes and sharing laughs with those around him. His kindness, warmth and gentle spirit touched everyone he met. Ron will always be remembered as someone who loved deeply and lived fully.
Ron is survived by his wife, Vicki Nelson, sons; Michael (Jennifer) Nelson, Mosinee, Troy Nelson, Wausau, and Christopher (Ashley) Nelson, Mosinee; grandchildren, Zachary, Malarie, Courtney, Hunter, Bo, Trevor, Tristan, Levi, Alayna and Brynlee; brothers, Larry (Karen) Nelson, Arizona City, Wendell (Lori) Nelson, Enderlin, ND, Betty Dallmann, Valley City, ND; sisters, Sharon (David) Miller, Malta, MT, and Marilyn Turchin, Finley, ND. Ron was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Willie Dallmann, Phillip Turchin and Walter Williams.
