Laverne Bernice Conner, 96, of Brinktown, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 30, 1929, in Swinton, MO, the daughter of George and Victoria (Teets) Mann.

She was united in marriage in November of 1961 to Lawrence F. Conner, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2017.

Laverne began her working career in the Shoe Factory of Advance, Missouri. She later worked for many years within the Stock Brokerage Industry in Operations. Her successful career was evident of her strong work ethic.

Laverne was always well dressed to the "9's". She was a talented seamstress making many of her own outfits and her children's clothes. She enjoyed playing many different types of games and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Kevin) Conner-Frank, Brinktown; her sons, Steven Conner (Vicky Stratman), Brinktown; Larry Conner Jr., (Connie Delcour), Brinktown; seven grandchildren, Ashley Carruth, Julie Conner, Amanda Cheatham, Mary Peska, Anna Conner, Steven Conner Jr., and Cora Conner, four great-grandchildren, Christina Cheatham, Jessica Whitehead, RJ Cheatham, and Tatum Conner; and her siblings, Kernethia Pruitt, Florissant; and Gerald (Joyce) Mann, Odessa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant sister, Marilyn Mann; her sister, Shelby Spears; and her granddaughter, Cassandra Cheatham.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Westphalia with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiating.

Burial will be in Vienna Public Cemetery.
