Ms. LaVerne Edge Hall, 78, of Hope Mills, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
She was born November 21, 1943, to the late Coman and Earney Edge. LaVerne graduated from Massey Hill High School and then went on to get her degree from Pembroke State University. She worked her entire career as an educator before retiring.
LaVerne loved her church, Faith Baptist Church, and held tightly to her faith. She had a love for music, and she loved spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11 am at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bill Allen presiding.
LaVerne is survived by her siblings, Sarah West, Edgar Edge, and Dottie Britt; children, Rychelle Struckman, Catherine Sapp, and Robin Palmer; and grandchildren, Brandy Baumann, Matthew Struckman, Taylor Sapp, Theo Fredrick, Caroline Baumann, and David Baumann.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Monk Edge, Thomas Edge, Catherine Melvin, and Donnie Edge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 2728 Creekdew Court, Fayetteville NC 28306 or the Dementia Alliance of NC, 9132 Anson Way, Suite 206, Raleigh NC 27615.
