LaVerne Marie Lacognato- Kaiser, 65, passed away on January 22, 2024 at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center.
She was born on January 4, 1959, to Charles and Laverne (nee Jenkins) Lacognato in Fairview, Ohio. LaVerne attended Midpark High School and graduated in the class of 1977.
LaVerne was married to James Kaiser for 27 years before his passing in 2018. She leaves behind her fiancé and partner of 2 years, Joseph Arra.
The things she enjoyed the most were cooking, baking, reading, and bowling. Her favorite thing to do was gamble, mostly at slot machines, and loved taking trips to Las Vegas. Laverne also enjoyed taking trips to Amish Country to enjoy the scenery and little shops.
LaVerne is survived by her mother Laverne Lacognato; son Brandon (Samantha) Kaiser; siblings Chuck (Karen) Lacognato, Lisa (John) Iwan, and Victoria (Ralph- deceased) Baker; nieces and nephews Alexis (John) Montgomery, and Jenna (Danny) Riffle; and great nieces and nephews Scarlett Montgomery, Alayna Owens, and John Montgomery.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her father Charles Lacognato.
VISITATION will be held on MONDAY, January 29th from 3pm – 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A FUNERAL SERVICE will take place, same day, at 7pm, also at Jardine's.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choosing, in her name.
