It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of LaVerne M. Wisniewski, who left us unexpectedly at the age of 90 on Thursday, January 2, 2025. LaVerne was a cherished member of our family, a lively member of her community and was known for her warm smile and friendly demeanor.
Born on January 21, 1934, in Daggett, Michigan, LaVerne was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Christensen) Adams. LaVerne had a long and lovely marriage to her spouse, Ronald Wisniewski. They were wed on September 13, 1952, in Nadeau, Michigan, and were married for 67 years until his passing in 2019. They were quite the couple sharing many interests, volunteering extensively, and embarking on many adventures.
LaVerne devoted many years to Theda Clark hospital, first being employed as a File Clerk and then as a dedicated volunteer for many years. She was always proud to have been the one that named Theda Star, the hospital's first medical helicopter. She bragged about her $35 gift card she won as a result! In addition to the time given at the medical center, she also dedicated countless hours at Saint Vincent de Paul and the food pantry. It brought her joy to meet new people and have friendly conversations with those around her, all the while working to help others.
For those that were fortunate to meet and know Laverne, that's what they will remember the most. Her ability to connect and befriend anyone she came across, her knack at telling stories, and her outgoing nature.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her spouse, Ron, her brother Alton Adams, as well as her parents, Arthur and Mary. She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Russ) Woldt; and her son, Ricky (Lori) Wisniewski; grandchildren: Kimberli (Jason) Trader, Andy (Kristi) Woldt, Amy and Abby Wisniewski; great-grandchildren: Ramsey, Jonah, Jayden and Addilyn. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Barb Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 10, 2025, at the Kessler Fahrenkrug Funeral Home at 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah with Deacon Tom Gritton officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
We will miss you dearly but find solace in knowing you have reconnected with your love in Heaven.
