Laveta Allene Burch, 79, of Doniphan, MO, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at her home.
Laveta was born on June 05, 1946, to Henry and Bessie (Pollard) Richardson in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Richard Lee Burch Sr. on March 14, 1964, also in St. Louis, Missouri.
Laveta is described by family and friends as a "jack of all trades, master of all". She was an avid bowler for 48 years, even making it in the Bowling Hall of Fame and winning the Arkansas State Championship. Laveta was an active member of the Eagles Lodge #3730 where she held many titles and positions over the years. Laveta enjoyed cooking and visiting with friends and family. She liked to travel and was also an avid movie watcher. She was a big John Wayne fan and loved all the Harry Potter movies. Laveta loved watching children play and had a way of making people feel seen and loved. Above all, she loved her family fiercely.
Laveta is survived by her three children, Theresa Elliott (Kevin), Richard (Hope) Burch Jr., and Raymond (Jamila) Richardson; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Laveta was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bessie; husband, Richard Lee Burch Sr. and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 11:00a-12:00p at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at Noon.
