Doris Marie Gibbs was born on May 27, 1929 in Essex, Missouri to the late Herbert and Blanche (Fortner) Weaver and passed away on February 11, 2026 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 96.
On October 26, 1946, Dale Gibbs and Doris Weaver were united in marriage in Corning, Arkansas and were happily married until his passing on July 24, 2011.
Doris is survived by her 2 sons, Mike Gibbs, of Oxley, Missouri and Bradley (Debra) Gibbs, of Doniphan, Missouri, 5 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Blanche, her husband, Dale, a son, Patrick Stephen Gibbs, 2 grandchildren and an infant brother.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at the Bloomfield Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri, beginning at 11 A.M.
