Lavina was raised in Foresthill and lived there for most of her life. She is the mother of her son Darrel D. Suehead. She comes from a family with 8 sisters and 4 brothers. Her only living sister is Marjorie Cummins of Auburn, CA.
A memorial service followed by a reception will be held at Lassila Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1pm. The address is 551 Grass Valley HWY, Auburn, CA 95603.
